Introduction: So Stell proposed this idea on making an interview for each other's races. So for example this interview would be for Stell's race called Illusionists. So basically I just type questions in this journal and Stell fills them out and it's vice-versa for my interview. Lets begin.
- Since Illusionists are just illusions does that mean they're immune to disease, stimulus or pain?
- Yes. Illusionists have no existing physical bodies, which is why they have to use illusions in order to interact with the universe. Each illusionist is a free willed mass of consciousness that is capable of thought, therefore unable to receive diseases or any physical stimuli such as pain. But, they're not devoid of feeling. An illusionist can still, especially, feel pain in an emotional context, rather than in a physical context.
- How many Illusionists actually exist? Is Sith and his family the only Illusionists or were more created after them?
- Currently there are seven illusionists who are known to exist: Sith, Quess, Aaedra, Hannah, Silvana, Aiden, and Arad. Of those illusionists listed, Arad is the only one who isn't related to all the other illusionists. Technically, Arad is a mistake who wasn't supposed to be created. I'll explain how:
- After the Aldoraens created The Mother, they discovered both that she was incapable of being a godly body for any of them to inhabit like they intended, and also that she was mysteriously dangerous to them. So when The Mother fled, the Aldoraens all decided that they would never attempt to recklessly make something as dangerous as an illusionist again. However, a significant portion of Aldoraens were awestruck by the illusionists despite how dangerous illusionists proved to be. And so a mass of defiant Aldoraens assembled what was essentially a cult on Ktala and attempted to recreate an illusionist with the little knowledge they had. They successfully created Arad, but were caught by Aldoraen authorities who confiscated Arad from the cultists and kept him in captivity on Ktala. During this time, for millions of human years, they conducted several experiments on Arad in order to discover how to subdue an illusionist and broke his consciousness as a result. Arad eventually escaped, unable to reproduce and remaining in hiding from the Aldoraens.
- Considering Hannah and her sister don't seem to have a known mother figure(as far as I know) can Illusionists by chance produce offspring without the need of a partner?
- Yeah, that's correct. Illusionists don't have sexes or genders, but a lot of the illusionists you've seen are in touch with human culture, and developed their own human identity in order to interact with humans. Illusionists don't reproduce sexually, but their form of reproduction can't exactly be called asexual either. Illusionists who are capable of reproduction are illusionists who have a larger pool of consciousness, if that makes sense. Illusionists have to remove a portion of themselves, their consciousness, and give it its own free will in order for it to become its own being. Illusionists like Sith, who don't have much of themselves to spare, could risk making their existence unstable, resulting in the illusionist being torn apart from the inside out.
- Do Illusionists all have the same abilities or do some have a special power that only they have?
- Every illusionist is capable of creating illusions in order to alter and interact with reality. The extent at which an illusionist can create illusions essentially depends on their age. What this means is that illusionists need time in order to experience portions of the universe, the more time that an illusionist has equates to the more knowledge of the universe that illusionist has. With more experience, an illusionist has more knowledge to use at their disposal. The current eldest illusionist is Quess, and his illusions are capable of fooling all the other younger illusionists.
- Are Illusionists capable of making non-Illusionists into Illusionists?
- No, the creation of illusionists is an expensive and incredibly complex process that only the entire race of Aldoraens collectively had the resources and knowledge to perform. Despite the expenses, the origin of illusionists come from reality-defying organisms who only exist on Ktala. These creatures are sentient masses of antimatter which idly roam Ktala, only interacting with things outside of reality. The Aldoraens used these organisms and altered them in order to create the basis of an illusionist.
- The only way that an illusionist could possibly make a non-illusionist into an illusionist, technically speaking, is through producing offspring with them. When this happens, an illusionist binds a portion of their consciousness to the pre-existing will of an embryo or whatever other beginning developing form of life. Their adaptive nature allows this to happen successfully, and Silvana and Aiden are good examples of that process.
- Even though Illusionists are adaptable how compatible are they with other races?
- Well, I already explained how they're sexually compatible with other races and species. In terms of socializing and general interaction, illusionists have the capacity to blend in seamlessly. Down to the core, illusionists have to be avid learners in order to maintain their presence in the universe. Whether an illusionist decides that they want to be compatible with other life is entirely up to them. Many illusionists you'll find will be curious of humans, but generally uninterested to interact with them with respect to humans. Illusionists like Hannah are an example of how easily an illusionist can blend in, meanwhile illusionists like Sith are an example of how illusionists can remain curious without respect for humans.
- Do Illusionists have their own blood type? If so, would it be compatible with other blood types?
- As I specified above, illusionists don't have bodies. If an illusionist wishes, they can detail an illusion of a body down to choosing their own blood type. Sith tends to be a fan of having black blood run through his veins. If he wishes, this blood can be its own functional bloodtype, which could likely be compatible with other blood types, or capable of other effects. What sort of impact an illusionist wants to have on their environment is up to them.
- Do Illusionists have their own sort of society and philosophy or do they merely go with what other races have when in the company of said races?
- Illusionists don't tend to socialize with one another very much, they tend to prefer the company of other creatures if anything else. Typically, an illusionist will keep their focus on some portion of the universe, and take influence from it. What an illusionist decides to obsess over all depends on the exposure in their early life. Quess takes on a more Aldoraen influence and acts more like an Aldoraen in many aspects, meanwhile Sith takes on a more human influence and acts very human (like a really shitty mean human, but still a human).
- Do they have their own language and if so how does it differ from other languages?
- Aldoraen is unofficially determined as the illusionist language, considering their origin. Quess and Sith will sometimes speak to each other in Aldoraen, and the younger illusionists follow suit upon witnessing such. The Aldoraen language is not one which is well known to many other creatures other than Aldoraens and Illusionists, so its a very natural and secure way for illusionists to communicate to each other specifically.
Conclusion: That's all I can actually think of right at the moment. I do hope it's enough to get the ball rolling.
Yee, thanks for the questions they were great for organizing my thoughts. If there's anything else anyone wants to know, feel free to ask in the comments!
